::hairstyle:of:the:moment::

(Photo Credit: Emma Watson Facebook Page)

Emma Watson sent shockwaves throughout the gossip mill when she was photographed sporting cropped do. Alot of speculation has been going on about whether or not Watson cut her hair off for a role or if it's a mean of rebellion. But it's no surprise to say that the leading Harry Potter lady now seemingly resembles a young Mia Farrow. Watson on the do says: "Oh my God, it was the most liberating thing! The stylist just grabbed the back of my hair and took a whole ponytail of hair out. It felt amazing. I love it.”So what inspired Watson to just chop all that gorgeous hair off and get a close-cropped coif? “I missed all that experimentation that most teenagers go through. I’ve wanted to do this since I was about 16, so as soon as I had the chance I was like, ‘Right. This is it.’”

Personally, I think it's uber adorable. And it kinda makes me want to take the plunge and cut all my hair off. She looks quite adorable! What do you guys think of her new do?

::recipe::

Well, there are a billion recipes to choose from but I think that today I will share my chili recipe with you guys. Especially since I'll be making this tonight. The amount I will be making will be good for two people and leftovers will last up to three days. I know that chili's are usually made with beef or even pork but I have decided on a healthier alternative: ground turkey. Yum. I don't eat beef in general and pork is a bit fattier then turkey so we will go with this instead. This chili is so delish and of course you can substitute any sort of veggies you prefer in it. I like to use alot of beans to keep that meaty texture. Anywho, hopefully you enjoy this delicious chili recipe! Let me know how yours turns out and if you have any substitutes that you used to make it even better. :)

Oh and on another note as well ~ make sure you have a big pot to cook this in! I learned the hard way. :P And don't put too much cumin! It is quite strong, if you do find that you accidentally went overboard then counteract that with a bit more sugar.

Ingredients

2 pounds lean ground turkey
1 (46 fluid ounce) can tomato juice
1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 (15 ounce) can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
2 (15 ounce) can white kidney beans, drained and rinsed
2 medium sized onions chopped
1/2 of a chopped green bell pepper
1/4 of a red/yellow & orange bell pepper chopped
1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/4 cup chili powder

Directions

Place ground turkey in a large, deep pot along with your onions. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Break the turkey apart in a crumble while cooking ( I also add some salt and pepper to this to add a bit more flavor ).

Afterwards, add all the rest of your ingredients along with your spices ( you can also add mushrooms, corn, celery or any other type of vegetable into your chili as well ~ I will usually add small button mushrooms cut in half ).

Cover your pot and let simmer on a low to medium heat for about an hour and a half. Make sure to check back on the chili to make sure that all the tomato juice/sauce doesn't bubble up to the top.

When it's all cooked then serve with cheese and sour cream. :)

::ms:aguilera::

Photo Credit: http://www.christina-crazy.net/

I looooooove Christina beyond all comprehension. She is gorgeous, has the most incredible voice of all singers, has touching lyrics, great concerts and pretty much great everything.

I never liked her in her pre-dirrty days and even when the single Dirrty came out I was still a bit put off. But then I randomly fell in love with her non chalance, her girl power mantra and her "I ain't takin shit" mentality.

It's kind of indescribable when people ask you who your most favorite artist is. You may name a few before you think of that ONE artist that you are crazy to watch 24/7. The one artist you can watch their concerts over and over, follow their red carpet trend setting, their hairstyles, clothes, make-up and their papparazi photos to a tee.
An idol if you will.
I know there was a backlash with people saying X-Tina, or as Perez Hilton says, "Floptina" was following or "copying" Lady Gaga and "copying" her style.
Sorry ladies and gents, Christina is in a league of her own. No one can even begin to put those two in the same category. Lady Gaga is a new and up and coming artist with her own sense of style and music.
How can you even compare their music to eachother? Especially when Aguilera has been out for gawd knows how long and has been making record breaking hits since even we've been 15.
Her voice is incredible, her performances are ridiculously entertaining, her persona in general is just retardedly delightful to watch.
Yea sure, she may not be as "innovative" as Gaga at the moment, but Gaga is basically a newbie, X-Tina is a veteran.
And even though she may not be as innovative as back in the day, Christina was the one that paved the way for being comfortable with your sexuality. Paved the way for crazy fashion. Paved the way for even more kick ass girl power. Paved the way for another step in the ladder for women to take over the music industry. And yes ladies and gents, paved the way for Rihanna, Katey Perry and most of all Gaga.

::skinny:vs:fit::

I am going to get my ass kicked if I don't start blogging about what was promised. Not only fashion but fitness and diet and just lifestyle for the ladies in general.
One topic I would like to touch upon is "skinny vs fit".

There has been a debate on this for quite some time and of course the youngin stylista's are definitely exposed to super thin Amazonian women of our world (note: Gisele Bundchen) but honestly. Who looks better? Jillian Michaels or Kate Moss?
Let me tell you my side of the story. I was always obsessed with trying to be super skinny. Eating lettuce and working out so many hours til the cows came home. And I only ever did my exercising at home. And it was usually cardio. Great method of shredding the fat. But I realized when I finally joined the gym 5 months ago. Nothing shreds fat like weight training.
And I can't believe that ladies don't even bother going into the weight room at their local gym!! I can honestly say I was one of maybe, and I do mean, maybe five ladies that lifted those barbells, did deadlifts and worked out our triceps.
Did u ladies know that one pound of fat burns about 4-6 calories an hour while one pound of muscle burns 50?!?
And u might be sitting there thinking "Okay fellow GlobeTrotter, I don't want to look like a freakin body builder!!"
Ladies, that's impossible. You are NOT built like a man and you do NOT have the amount of testosterone that a man does to build that kind of muscle mass. It's impossible. Unless you are taking creatine and other supplements to bulk up; that is simply not going to happen.
Geeze! I spent two months in the weight room and whilst my boyfriend built muscle like Tito Ortiz I couldn't even get Madonnas definition!
But I will tell you, I felt great and even though the scale didn't show (since muscle weighs more then fat) my pants were falling off my ass and I had calf muscles that would make even Donovan Bailey jealous. Okay...maybe not that extreme. Haha. But seriously weight training was one of the best things that ever happened to my body. And if lifting weights isn't your thing then that's fine. Do some body weight exercises. I will divulge my secret in that soon enough. When I feel comfortable in sharing. I am overprotective of this little secret of mine at times. No joke. Lol.
Anyways, my body took on a transformation that I even couldn't believe and then one day I realized that I don't want to look like a super skinny 5 foot 11 runway model. I wanted to look like a healthy woman. With a cardiovascular system that could compete with an Olympian. A body that could even burn major calories at rest. A body that was super tight, fit and firm. Even going into my 60s. A body like Jillians, Amber Elizabeth and Zuzana Light.
A body that enjoyed healthy food and rejected junky crap and slept through the night like a baby and fought anxiety and stress.
Who wants to be a miserable skinny globetrotter when you could be a fit and gorgeous woman of the world?
Who wants to be lithe and light when you can be strong and defined.
That's the kind of woman I want to be. With a body that says that I'm not a little girl but one that says that I can kick your ass. And that's what every little girl should strive for.
To be a kick ass woman.

<3
