::i:really:love:my:::

I have an unhealthy obsession with magazines.
I sound like a broken record. I know.
Anyways...one of my fave style mags is People StyleWatch - unfortunately sometimes they publish the same things over and over again...there is one thing I really enjoy in their issues though and that is their "I really love my..." article thingermabob. So I am going to share a few of those on here for you! You can check a crapload more out on their site. :))

Rose Byrne loves her...Aldo Pumps.

Diane Kruger loves her...Anne Taylor Sweater.

Miley Cyrus loves her...Body Language Pants.

Zoe Saldana loves her...Brian Atwood Heels.

Rachel Bilson loves her...Goldsign Jeans.

Pippa Middleton loves her...H&M Dress.

Nicole Richie loves her...House of Harlow 1960 Bag.

Katie Holmes loves her...Inhabit Sweater.

Carrie Underwood loves her...Kate Spade New York Tote.

Jessica Biel loves her...Tod's Handbag.

Jennifer Lawrence loves her...Tory Burch Bag.

What are my faves??
First of all Rose Byrne...she is gorgeous. I loooove her hair!! I want!
But out of everything I would totally grab Katie Holmes' Inhabit sweater. I love the way it looks and it just seems so cozy yet chic.

::bloom:forth::

I am such an asshole. I told Kevin on Friday that I was going to post a random story on here since I haven't written anything in a while and I didn't do no such thing. I am sorry Kev!!!
I am not sure how interesting my bus story would be to some of you to begin with. I have been avoiding the bus for a couple of years now...it freaks me out. I know, I know. I am a drama queen...but seriously...it is dirty...it smells...and I dislike very much running into people that I don't want to run into from high school. Who does??
I have been going to the gym...week 2 last week...and have been catching the bus to get to the gym - as there is obviously no other method of transportation for me; although I would love to have my own personal town car but that is obviously not in the cards for me unless I win next weekends lottery. Fingers crossed.
So...it has been ridiculously hot here in my neck of the woods and by the time I get to the bus stop from my apartment I am a puddly mess...and for whatever reason the AC at the gym is sucking lately and I feel like I am a walking "in need of deoderant!!" ad. Very self conscious when I get into a vehicle after the gym in fear of someone passing out behind the wheel because of the smell. Ha ha ha. I am really kidding..or am I?
Anyways...the point of the story? I have had a few close calls the last couple of times with regards to catching the bus...they never seem to be on time...either 5 minutes before the scheduled time or 5 minutes after. Annoying! Especially when you're standing there in +40C weather in gym gear half running to your stop...
Whatever...it seems to be working because I have lost a bit of weight...
I have lost {since April} 17lbs.
WEEEEEE!!!
More to go. But I am sooo glad that I got back into the groove of things with regards to working out; I really love the gym. I love how you can go there and you're just in the zone...nothing really crosses your mind other then you, the weights, how much you're lifting, your form, your reps, your sets, the pain, the gain...it just feels fantastic.
I have also realized that it doesn't matter how much you exercise - you gotta eat right. Abs are made in the kitchen. It's 80/20.
So I am rereading all my clean eating books...and will research more on nutrition as that was the plan a while ago and I just never got around to it...or rather...I never bothered.
So I will share whatever I come across in the next little while.
Of course I crave...I could really go for some KFC right now...
I have a recipe that is saved and waiting to be posted but I am having issues with the images which is highly frustrating and I am still waiting on posting my long anticipated hair post! So that will hopefully be up by the end of this week.
The weekend flew by fast btw...didn't get up to too much. It was quiet. Relaxing. Spent most of it watching movies and sitting outside. The upcoming week will be a busy one as it is the boyfriend's brothers {and his fiancee's} stag & doe. They are getting married in Jamaica this December! So it is quite the exciting time for them and I can't imagine how busy they must be with the wedding planning and such. I very much look forward to seeing what the bride's dress will look like. :)
Then on Sunday I hope to get out somewhere on a road trip...but we shall see! We are definitely not ones for planning ahead - it is usually just spontaneous.
Anyways...I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and has a lovely Monday tomorrow!

::summer:style::

Some styles I'd like to try out this Summer.

Jean Shorts & Flats.
I love jean shorts...since I have gained a bit of weight I haven't been able to wear any but the plan is to lose the poundage and be able to sport this look. Nothing says dainty and cute like a pair of ripped jean shorts, an oxford and flats. A modern Summery Audrey Hepburn look.

I have an obsession with blazers and pastel colours in general. So throwing these two together  is a staple and a dream come true for my closet. I am more into the turquoise-y one.

I have yet to find an Oxford that is worth my money and of good quality. If anyone can think of a store I can find a great buy then do let me know! I love this look. So casual and chic.

I have done this in the past. Thrown on one of my more elaborate necklaces on my head as a headband...so to see this look "lifting" off is great. A chick updo doesn't have to be boring. Spice it up with some dazzling statements pieces that you would usually wear around your neck or wrist.

Loving these polkadot skinnies!
Definitely something new and something I would be totally interested in wearing on the cooler Summer days...now where to find them is the next question...

::summer:colds::

Unfortunately I am fighting yet another stupid cold this Summer...I usually don't get sick so I don't know what the deal is. I guess it doesn't help that it is super hot outside and then when I come into the apartment it is freezing cold. So the AC is definitely aggravating it. All I can do is sit bundled up inside under a bunch of blankets. Thankfully the boyfriend is helping me out; so that's a good thing. I can get very bitchy with a cold. Lol.
Anyways...hopefully this heat wave breaks soon so we can have the windows open again and let the nice sweet Summer clean air come through.
Anyways...I really have to start posting more recipes...and just more creative things in general. I have started going back to the gym {last Monday} and actually went yesterday even though I felt shitty...today I am going to lay low as now my right ear feels a little sore and this cold is robbing me of all my energy. I am tired and just can't be bothered to do anything. Maybe a little walk later on this afternoon but I can't see myself pushing it at cardio or lifting at this point.

Lots of articles to share, lots of editorials and lots of recipes. So I will use this sicky time to do that. It's funny, when I am not sick I try to find excuses to stay in bed and blog and such...and now that I am sick, I am trying to will this craptastic feeling to go away so that I can get up and at 'em!

Hope everyone is having a lovely hump day and a...well, I will save that for the next post. Stay tuned. ;))

::ontario:road:trippin::

I dislike repeating myself a lot of the times, but I am going to share this with you guys anyways {since I just journaled about it}.
I had a fantastic long weekend this weekend...and no, it didn't include parties, getting shitfaced and the like.
It wasn't quiet either like it usually is. The boyfriend and I made an effort to get our butts out of bed early in the day and go out and about and I still was able to make it to the gym 2 out of the 3 days. :))
On Saturday we decided to semi-laze about the house...yet still go out and run errands, on Sunday {Canada Day} we went to Burlington, Ontario to check out the beach there and also just cruised around and enjoyed the scenery as well as all the huge mansions on the waterfront! Seriously...
We are going to live there one day. :P
Yesterday I feel was the highlight. We drove to Hamilton and checked out the waterfalls there, Webster Falls, Tews Falls and Tiffany's Falls. We also went up to Dundas Peak and hiked for km's and km's. We were hot, soaked and just ready to see more! :)) It really was a fantastic day. Couldn't have planned a better one. Spontaneous road trips are always the best.
I am looking forward to more trips like this in the future. Start off in Ontario and then branch off!
Thanks Travy for an amazingly fun weekend!!! :D
