::monsieur:galliano::

Ugh. I have been dealing with the most excruciating stomach/pelvic pains the last little while - that's why I haven't really been on here blogging.
Not only that but my anxiety is a little more then through the roof.
On a positive note though, Travis and I joined a new gym {yay!} - called World Gym...super cheap. I am excited to get back at it. :) And I also have a job interview today as well...am a little more then nervous about it but have been going through my notes so hoping to nail it. I just need to get into it with confidence. It's crazy how I can sell other people and am able to sell products but I can't sell myself!
But I think that is the key - confidence.

I also want to point out that I was beyond ecstatic to hear that Maison Margiela has elected John Galliano as their new creative director! I have been dyyyyyying since Galliano disappeared from the fashion world in 2011 and publicly atoned after his questionable antics at a Paris bar spouting anti-semitic remarks in an alcohol-fueld rage...but hey..we all did stupid shit while drunk, non?
Anyways - incredible is all I have to say...and must share with you the 2015 Haute Couture line by Galliano for Maison Margiela.

::pj:partay::

I need to get some nice comfy pj's for Winter. I always end up wearing old tank tops to bed. It feels nice to wear something pretty to bed! Makes sleep that much better too!
Here is a new Sleepwear Campaign for H&M - modeled by the lovely Edita Vilkeviciute.

::kohls:christmas:joy::

I am feeling festive.
After waking up this morning to snow on the ground and flurries on the way to work I am feeling particularly Christmas-y! :)
Just need to lug my stuff out of storage and start decorating. I just want some more snow {preferably on the weekend}...where I can hide under the blankets on the couch with some yummy treats, the pup and my man and watch the world get blanketed in white.

Anyways...since I am feeling particularly festive, here is the gorgeous LC for her new Kohl's Winter line. :)

::a:love:like:no:other::

I have read pretty much all of Cassandra Clare's novels...ya know...The Mortal Instruments...the City of Bones...with Lily Collins and hunky Jamie Campbell Bower...yea, that movie didn't do too great...but I kinda enjoyed it...and I loved the books. Actually, I remember I watched it after my work Christmas part last year...so full after eating all you can eat Chinese buffet and drinking a bottle of wine between the boss and I.
Anyways....what I am trying to get at here is that I like Lily Collins...and yea, Jamie Campbell Bower is still pretty friggin hot.
Oh and I want her eyebrows...

::enchanted::

We had a fairly decent weekend.
Of course, as always, it goes by too fast.
Spent most of it being lazy...well, I say that but it isn't necessarily true as I spend most of my time in the kitchen prepping and cooking.
Yesterday I made a big ol' pot of chili - yumyum. I should have taken pics and shared the recipe with you...but I couldn't be bothered. Lol. :P
I did, however, make some homemade honey and brown sugar scrub and will share the recipe with you on that.
It's great for the skin...and it's a lot better then some of the scrubs on the market these days with all the added chemicals and such.
Travis also got me a little present...he said that after all I've been through...and all that I do...I deserve a little somethin so I will make sure to share the pics of that with you as well. :) So overall it was a good weekend.
Puppies got a bath too - they weren't too impressed but now they are fluffy and smell so lovely. Lol.
Another long day here...and Monday's are usually the busiest...so I can bank on staying at work until 9 or something. Ugh. So crappy.
But at least I can study, I guess...

Enough rambling. Let's share an editorial. Because it's a shitty-ass Monday...and I feel like looking at somethin pretty. :)

::a:little:faerie::

No one wants to start their Friday off with their partner saying "I have a feeling it's going to be a shit show at work today"...on a Friday....before the weekend...with the week that I have had? I am dreading sitting here until freakin 8:30 at night. :/
But...it is what it is!
There are many big changes coming up for me in the next few months...one's that I will share eventually with all of you.
Not really sure what this post is about. I don't have much to say, lol.
I made chicken and barley soup last night and ate so much....I am super freakin' bloated today for some reason and feel like ass...not to mention I am gawddamn itchy...and this Reactin doesn't seem to help that freakin' itchiness.
Been kicking my own ass at the gym the last few days that I am super sore...
I am glad for Friday....
Yea, I got nothing.

So I will shut up and just share an editorial!

::mid-week:update::

Today I need to figure out how to get home before 5pm to try and get my new keys from the landlord. Because we are always coming home late, 7, 8, 9ish...the landlord is always off at that time and on weekends so - we need our new keys!! That and they also seriously need to check out Travis' towel rack that broke back in MAY!!! And the window - since the sealing is off and humidity is getting in there...it's not good during the Winter time when you have the heat pumping and cool air is still seemingly getting into the room. So we shall see how this day goes.

Last night was the longest night of my life. Got home so late...and probably stayed up for 45 minutes or so and then went to bed. It's not fun. But as I keep saying, it is what it is!!
I am also dealing with a lot of anxiety lately about particular things that are both in and out of my control. I just wish that I had the "didn't care" attitude sometimes. I think the anxiety/ocd likes to build up on it though. If I didn't have issues with that then I don't think I would have much of a problem just not caring. BUT, I have amazing friends, family and boyfriend who are being super supportive and I couldn't do this without them. :) So if you're feeling lonely or overwhelmed, make sure you got your close ones next to you - and talk it out! It really does help.

::princess:winter::

I am seriously dreading the remainder of the week. Only for the sole fact that Travis' work is getting crazy busy and this is the first week where they are starting to get into the groove of things....so that is why he is particularly late. I am sure that by next week there will be more of a set time...instead of one night being 8pm, the next 8:30....7:30 than who knows....9?? I know this is the part where people will say "hey Sandra! get your license!" - it's not that easy...well...it is. But I still won't be able to drive!! And we still will have only one vehicle! I don't know...like I said yesterday...it is only 2 months. But it can be painful. Lol.

On another note....Bath & BodyWorks recently released their Christmas collection - to be honest, I am all about the Fall scents...but I am seeing some delightful smells that have just come out and the Christmas collection has my favorite scent of all - Vanilla Bean Noel. That is by far, my most FAVORITE B&BW smellie.
So I want to get to a store at some point and see what else they have. :) And Christmas-y wallflowers! So that the apartment smells like a Winter Wonderland. ;)

Oh! And my family is going to be down for Christmas this year!! I am sooooo excited. :) It's going to be great. We haven't celebrated Christmas together for the longest time and it's going to be 'hosted' at my place. :) So I really cannot wait. It hasn't sunk in yet, probably because it's still a ways away....but I know it's going to be a lot of fun. They will be here for 13 days...give or take and most of the time they will be spending it with Trav and I. So.....it'll be great! :)

That's pretty much it for now!
Speaking of Winter Wonderland...just look at this gorgeous bridal collection for Zuhair Murad's 2015 campaign, photographed by Rabee Younes...it's absolutely breathtaking!

::incessant:rambling:&:covetable:items::

I can't believe that Winter is coming upon us...seriously....snow is right around the corner! They are calling for flurries on Friday {of course, every Halloween it's raining or snowing} but we will see what the day brings - because you know the weather network.

On another note...I finally broke my plateau! Well, I think I did anyway...I was at this point a couple of times the last month or so...but I always fluctuate between 2-4lbs...and I don't seem to know why. Of course I have said in the past that I really need to tweak my diet and it's true. Starting off with portion sizes. Then, I am reading Dr. Joel Fuhrman's book "Eat To Live" and wow...I am blown away by some of the information in that book!! If anyone wants to change the way they eat and lose weight, feel great and all that jazz then pick this book up!

::love:you:in:fall::

I haven't blogged in such a long while - my friend pointed this out to me - so I am going to try and post a little more.
It's officially Fall! Ahh...I just love Fall.
The leaves are beginning to turn brilliant shades of red and orange, yellow and I even like those brown ones. ;) The weather is just perfect - crisp and cool. Although today it's supposed to be +25C. I am hoping to make it out to a Fall Fair at some point in the next month or apple picking. School is also coming to a close for me - I am finishing some final assignments, it's a lot of work! Then I have about 2 months to study for my board exam, which is apparently 3 hours! But I am not going to think about that too much at this point. I will cross that bridge when I get to it.
I am a little disappointed in the supposed Fall fashion fatties this year. The magazines that are out there didn't really have much in 'em. Usually I go ballistic and must get my hands on them all...but not this time.
I do know there are many cookbooks coming out in the next month or so. I feel like Autumn is the time for great cookbook releases - case in point - last year Ali Larter's book came out and I am still obsessed with it and making the turkey lagered chilli (page 45!). So delish.
So I will eventually share some of those books with you but for now we will share an editorial. Many recipes to share with you as well! So stay tuned for that. I hope that when I finish school I will have more time to blog and share exciting information with you guys. Work and school are basically my life right now.

Chris Craymer shoots models Sophie and Pete in the October issue of Marie Claire Netherlands.
I am loving the chunky knit sweaters and cozy look here in this edit. Perfect for Fall!

::paradiso:in:my:mind::

I am having some odd issues with blogger - so hopefully this posts! But if it doesn't, I guess I will try again.
This week has been particularly tough for me, nothing of any importance really has happened...I just feel like I have been struggling with myself, internally...and it's time to come to terms with some things and just let other things GO. You can't change the past...you can't change people...so what is the point? Gosh...why is it so hard to just focus on YOU and your own happiness??
Easier said then done...

Anyways...another weekend is coming up. Considering this was a short weekend {with last weekend being a long one} this week has gone by sooooo brutally slow. :/ Watch the weekend flies by. Stories of our life...
I don't have much time for a post right now but will be posting much more interesting things in the next little while so stay tuned. In the meantime, LOOK at this gorgeous editorial!

::monsieur:saab::

It's couture time!
Used to be one of my most favorite times of year...especially when Galliano was around. Alas, he no longer is. *sniff*sniff* I wonder what he is up to these days.
Anyways...I will share some collections that I enjoyed going through. What are your favorite looks so far??

I will start with Elie Saab - honestly, this man can do no wrong. His designs are, for lack of a better word, MAGIC.

::the:gorgeous:blake::

I must admit that I am having difficulties staying away from posting editorials...probably because they are so damn fabulous! Lol. I just love beautiful things and feel like I need to share the beauty and inspiring photo's with everyone.
This next editorial is just to-die-for gorgeous.
I was never a huge Blake Lively fan - I was Blair Waldorf-obsessed {you know you love me!}...all the way!! Lol. But now since she has taken my honey {Ryan Reynolds} and heard she is coming out with a blog of her own {I can't wait!!} and after seeing her in this s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g editorial...I think I may be officially obsessed!
This is GORGEOUS!

Blake Lively shot by Mario Testino for the August 2014 issue of Vogue.
NEED to get my hands on this issue!!

::covetable:items:: - almost time for sweaters!

Since losing the bulk of my weight I have taken an interest in shopping again {obviously}...times like these I wish I won the lottery. Lol.
I must say I am feeling a little overwhelmed as I just don't know at this point what size I am anymore...and I am not big into changerooms and get really moody sometimes so you can imagine how shopping me with me can go at times. I have become very aware and familiar with my body though after all this. I *know* what will fit and what won't. What will look good and what will look...not so good. So it's definitely an advantage to being aware of that.

I just find that a lot of the clothes at stores are ridiculously overpriced! Mini rant here...just because us bigger ladies want nice clothes doesn't mean you can jack up the price for an extra couple inches of material. Seriously!! The plus size stores that I used to shop at would charge $50-$60 for A SHIRT!! A simple freakin shirt! It was quite disappointing, so you can imagine, I didn't go shopping all that often {unless I was in the States, Lane Bryant often has great sales}.

ANYWAYS.
I found a grrrreat site, omg....AliExpress. I am *obsessed* with that site...I recently ordered a few sweatshirts for my boyfriend from there and some awesome jewelry which I will share once the order comes in. The only drawback is that it does take some time to actually get to me! About 2-4 weeks. Which isn't a 'biggie' but for some people that just doesn't jive. I am okay with it...when these babies come in from day to day it's like a ltitle surprise because when you order from the site, you get a total of all your purchases but usually they come from a few different people {unless the bulk of your order is from one specific person/shop}.
There are some reviews out there about 'scams' and whatnot...but I honestly have not had a problem thus far {knock on wood} and have been quite happy with the service so far. The pricing is unbelievable too. I am just not sure if I would order certain thing such as electronics but...I guess you never know unless you try. They also have a 'customer protection' thingermabob too...so for those semi-nervous buyers, you can put your mind at ease. I have never had to use it, so that's a bonus for me.
Definitely not a site for those that won't even do online banking though...I guess you just gotta have a little faith. Lol.

Anyways...
Here are some items that I am SERIOUSLY coveting right now from that site. :) Mostly sweaters...or I think all sweaters, haha. But that's because the cooler weather is coming in...and I am usually cold when at work. So this works. ;)

One word of caution - these are ASIAN SIZES. So buyer beware in the respect that you need to measure yourself before you purchase anything like clothing. I just went with it initially and later realized that I seriously need to measure before I buy anything.

This bad boy is only $9.99! I love it...I love the little birdies and it looks pretty BA with those pleather leggings...which I think now I may look into....lol!

::the:great::

I loooove Kate Moss but dislike very much Terry Richardson {who shot the editorial and cover} - either way, I need to pick up the newest issue of Harpers Bazaar because, well, she's on it! This is on newsstands now. ;)

::the:weekend::

There are many books that will be coming out in the next few months…Spring and Summer is the start of something new, so of course the latest and greatest books will be out on shelves to fill up those warm Summery days at the beach. I am *definitely* going to be going to the beach this year, and who knows, maybe camping! Or I would prefer, glamping. This way I can bring my babies with me too. :) I am sure they would love it. Mind you, I would have to go to the vet and look into tick prevention, fleas and such. I don't want them catching anything.
Anyways, this weekend so far has been a gorgeous one, the sun has been out for most of it and I love waking up to the sun shining into our apartment. It's not that cold out either, so it almost feels like Spring is around the corner. :)
Travis and I got up quite early this Sunday morning as the Canada/Sweden game is on (GO CANADA!), so far 1-nothing. ;)

::the:grey:lady::

Where did the weekend go?
It seriously flew by. But don't they always?
Sometimes they are a disappointment, but I won't delve into that. This weekend was a rather quiet one but a few things did get done around the apartment which was nice. This coming weekend should be a lot busier, which will make it go by even faster!
Anyways, I did want to say that the recipe that's in the previous post is - quite frankly - delicious. I did try it and it was YUMMY. I didn't use the orrechiette, as for some reason the Zehr's in my area didn't carry it - what?? Well, it did, but for a small box they wanted $5. Seriously. So I used fusili. Just as good.
It was just so flavourful, I definitely recommend you guys give the recipe a try.

So, even though it's technically not Monday, it is...
Well, the feeling...
Blah day!
Is it time to go home yet?
