::destress::

A little on the more then annoyed side at the moment. Actually the entire day has been that way...it's funny how some people's actions or words sends you over the edge...it probably also doesn't help that I have anxiety and stress issues...and need anger management.
I guess it's easy to just think the worst and send yourself in a downward spiral of hypothetical situations that probably will never happen.
It's something that I'm working on.
Also when I stress out sometimes I just eat...different then when I have anxiety. With anxiety I just lose all appetite...but stress and boredom, definitely eat like a cow when that happens.

Definitely need some tips on how to de-stress and eat less.

Top 10 Ways to De-Stress and Eat Less
Instead of comfort food, try these tips.

Do you turn to food whenever you're stressed out? Stress-related food behaviors can be changed. Here are 10 tips to help you find better ways to deal with stress.

Fit in fitness everyday.
Getting regular physical activity works wonders in coping with stress. Give your stress to the pavement or the treadmill and let it go from your body. Staying active in winter elevates your mood and reduces stress.

Enjoy natural sunlight, especially in winter.
It can be depressing to be stuck indoors during the shortened days of winter, but a brisk walk in the sunshine can be a real mood enhancer.

Keep up your journal everyday.
Self-monitoring your food, fitness, and emotional feelings is an excellent way to become more aware of your triggers and behavioral patterns.

Don't deprive yourself of enjoying the foods you love.
For this only leads to bingeing. Instead, plan to eat a small portion of the desired foods, eat it slowly, and savor every mouthful.

Set some ground rules about eating.
Such as only eat while seated, no food after 9pm, no second helpings, etc.

Relax.
Give yourself 15 minutes each day of peace and quiet, a time to be reflective, meditate, or simply unwind. Soaking in a hot bubble bath can help release your troubles into thin air. Breaking free from the family, a breath of fresh air, or escaping to a quiet room will energize and empower you.

Be good to yourself.
Have a list of motivational sayings that inspire and strengthen your resolve. Use affirmations daily to help you feel good about yourself and your mission to lose weight.

Eat healthfully.
Proper nutrition promotes health, well-being, and rejuvenation, which in turn enhances your resilience to stress.

::friday:&:breastesesss::

This is going to be the most randomest beginning of a post...
My bra is seriously pissing me off.
And I just don't mean one bra that I have in particular...I mean ALL bras PISS me OFF!!!
I hate them! I am so uncomfortable right now that I feel like I might lose it.
To be honest, I am not sure when this began happening...I do remember happier days of bras not bothering me at all...maybe I didn't have boobs then, I don't know...but now I am always so uncomfortable. Now you may be thinking that I am wearing the wrong size bra...no no no...I know what bra size I am and wear the right ones thank you...
I try not to jump or move around like crazy in fear that my bra is going to drive me even crazier, it's the most random thing on the planet...
I wonder if I lose weight if my boobs will shrink and then I will be more comfortable. It is quite possible...
Ugh. This is really pissing me off.

Just thought I would share my thoughts on that.

Happy Friday!!!

I wonder if Salma Hayek's bra's piss her off.
Maybe I will get fake tits and then I won't have to wear a bra and the world will be a better place...
What a way to start a Friday! Hahaha.

::ripped:&:fit::

I can't say that I did that great of a job on my diet yesterday. :|
To be honest - I was doing pretty good...and then I just sorta fell apart. Whatever though. This time I am going in with a plan...I know that I should start today but I am going to build my goals up to the point where they are ingrained in my brain. I am going to place stickies all over the place along with inspirational pictures as well as carry a little book around with me...I am also going to go back to the gym starting on Monday. I am quite excited for that. I do wish that I could go with my boyfriend but it's the busy season for him at work so he is always working overtime.
I am really excited to finally get back to being healthy!
I found a bunch of inspiring tumblrs - one in particular being www.rippedandfit.tumblr.com that is incredibly motivating for me to be the best me possible.
I want people to look at me and be proud of what I have accomplished and maybe be even slightly jealous. Lol. I need to not only do this for myself health-wise physically but emotionally as well. You feel a world of a difference when you are eating healthy and getting your daily exercise.
Obviously will be updating all of you on that as often as I can.
Other then that, I am pretty sure a recipe is overdue on this blog so let your mouth water away and try this one out.

Bon Appetit!

Almond-Crusted Tilapia
Reminiscent of a restaurant-style fish amandine, this recipe easily doubles to serve a small dinner party. Almonds add such a rich, nutty flavor to the tilapia that even the pickiest eater will think it is delicious. Serve with green beans and mashed red potatoes with chives.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 6 minutes
Yield: 2 servings {serving size: 1 fillet}
Nutrition: 367 calories

Ingredients

1/4 cup whole natural almonds
2 tablespoons dry breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon salt-free garlic and herb seasoning blend {such as Mrs. Dash}
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 {6-ounce} tilapia fillets
Chopped fresh parsley {optional}

Preparation
1. Place first 4 ingredients in a blender or food processor; process 45 seconds or until finely ground. Transfer crumb mixture to a shallow dish.
2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brush mustard over both sides of fillets; dredge in crumb mixture. Add fish to pan; cook 3 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily when tested with a form or until desired degree of doneness. Sprinkle with parsley, if desired.

Definitely sounds like a delicious and healthy meal - come on, fish and nuts?!
Anyway - I would probably try a different fish, such as halibut or haddock, as my boyfriend isn't the biggest fan of tilapia.
Definitely a recipe to try soon with some green/yellow wax beans and 'taties. :)

::tidbits::

I have a slight infatuation with some people's blogs...whether it be fashion, recipe ones, weight loss...if there is that personal touch in them, I am hooked.

I am thinking about beginning to do my own food photography when doing recipes...I have a Nikon camera with two lenses but I am just not sure what settings I should have my camera at when shooting some of the food that I make.
I mean, some of the photo's in these blogs are just amazing and I am quite jealous that I can't do the same! I tried! It doesn't work! Lol.
I think I will look into more of that...for those of you that take a lot of your own photos - what sort of camera/lens/settings do you use?

Other then that, I also need to begin to make a little clearing for myself in my apartment...meaning I need a desk somewhere where I can keep my laptop, scanner,  bamboo tablet, printer, camera and such in one place instead of scattered all over the place.
This will make blogging easier.
Oh...and for some reason I need to blog with a mouse so I gotta purchase one of those as well, for some reason my wireless one doesn't want to work with my MacBook. :/ May need to test that out tonight.

So I was watching a bit of the new video of the iPhone 4S. It's pretty cool...I also updated my operating system which took half my life and still is confusing to me but I guess I will have to fiddle faddle with it for the next little while and figure out how to work it...that and restore all my  music and apps on it as well.
How are you guys liking the new iPhone software?
Woohoo! I also just received my order from Tillys! Still waiting on a few pieces {remember how I posted not too long ago about the jewelry I was coveting?} so I emailed and asked where the rest of the order was. I guess we shall have to wait.

This picture below made me laugh. Had to share.
