::RHOV:episode:2::

Hopefully we see Kevin this season!

So last Tuesday was the second episode of RHOV ~ unfortunately I missed it because I am so obsessed with Game of Thrones I had to finish season 1. But that is okay, because Slice allows us Canadians to catch the episode the next day on their site, so I did that first thing in the morning.

Alright...so my thoughts on this episode...
The show starts off with Robin and Mary going out for lunch where they talk about the BBQ, Robin tells Mary that Jody was *gasp* nice to her. But very little else is said afterwards. Robin tells Mary that she is auditioning to sing The Star Spangled Banner at a Grand Prix show-jumping {horsie} event. She then asks Mary if she wants to sing the Canadian national anthem, Mary is flattered ~ UNTIL ~ she finds out that she herself has to audition.
But she agrees to do it anyways.

NEXT!

Amanda invited Jody over to her place along with Hannah where the kidlets play and Amanda has Jody try her Kombucha tea. Jody says that it is delicious but in interviews just makes faces...we all know what she thinks of this tea.
Anyways, they begin talking about the BBQ and Ioulia...apparently Amanda has it out for her and thinks she is a Russian spy. Jody says that they should give her the benefit of the doubt. Ioulia is young and probably felt out of place at the BBQ.

NEXT!

What a fitting segue to seeing Ioulia claim to her {old} husband Damien that she is going to make breakfast. Her two older step-sons comes walking through the door, Ioulia claims that this is the way it should be, at this point she doesn't have to take care of the kids, they take care of themselves.
Ioulia claims she isn't a "kitchen goddess" and ends up buying waffles for everyone. Damien then drops the bomb that he is leaving on a business trip for 3 weeks.
This is the first time Ioulia hears about this. But guess what? She doesn't care!! She loves the time on her own!
Uhhh, yea. I would too if my husband was a billion years older then me and had a shit-tonne of money.

NEXT!

Ronnie and Robin meet up at The Carrington {where they sell horse shit stuff} and Ronnie asks Robin what she thought of the BBQ. She enjoyed herself, obviously, and Ronnie starts going on about how she forgives Mary but never forgets, basically making it all about her and how Jody and Mary are fighting over her and it is all very "high school".
Robin drops the bomb on Ronnie at that point with regards to see the anthem with Mary.
Ronnie doesn't seem impressed.
A big falling out is going to happen here...I can feel it.

NEXT!

This next scene is boring.
Mia goes over to Amanda's where they talk about the drag party that Jody is going to be hosting at Pride weekend.
She blabs on about Ioulia again.
Booooring.
Mia calls her self "Queen Fag Hag". Uhhhh. Ok...
Amanda also bitches about Robin and how they both were shopping at Jody's store and wanted the same dress.
This is like...grade school stuff. Can't the producers come up with something more exciting??

NEXT!

Studio scene with Mary and Robin.
Robin can actually sing!
That is all.

NEXT!

Amanda and Ioulia randomly meet up for coffee where they chat it up and Amanda shares with Ioulia that she is an alcoholic and the recent loss of her friend ~ who committed suicide ~ and alcoholism is a disease that kills. Ioulia is very mature in this entire situation and is caring and emphatic.
The meet went well and Amanda doesn't believe Ioulia is a Russian "spy" anymore...for now.

NEXT!

Party time!
My gawd, Jody always goes over the top with her outfits. Everyone basically meets up at this party and has a great time, until Jody asks why Mary is at her event. Mary claims that she was invited by the owner of the club. It was a very timid confrontation between the two women where Ioulia played peace-keeper.
Amanda then corners Robin and starts in on her about alcoholism. Since Robin {in episode 1} claims that it is all will power. If you can pick it up, you can put it down.
Amanda then confesses to Robin that she is an alcoholic so she knows first hand how hard it is. Robin seems very surprised saying that alcoholics have "red faces and reek of booze".
She then genuinely apologizes to her, saying sorry for jumping the gun and assuming something she didn't know. They make up. And it's all good in the hood.

Overall the episode was kinda, meh.
There was a lot of Amanda in this episode, that's for sure. Not a lot of Ronnie and not a lot of Mary either.
There wasn't enough excitement but that's alright. We still have all season!
